Superintendent's Message

WELCOME PATTON FAMILY!!

I’m excited to welcome all of you to our new website!  Our technology committee spent countless hours working to bring the world a better website to showcase all of the wonderful things Patton has to offer!  Not only are we revamping our website, we’re also looking forward to a REFRESHING new 2022-23 school year!  This summer we will be busy working to improve every aspect of our school district!  We will be moving staff around, hiring new staff, and even saying goodbye to some.  Most notably our Superintendent, Dr. Carol Kunst.  Dr. Kunst served nine years as our superintendent, but as of July 1, 2022 she officially retired.  We wish Dr. Kunst the best of luck and thank her for her years of service to the district!  Effective July 1, 2022, Dr. James Steyskal assumed the role of Interim Superintendent.  Dr. Steyskal is a retired Superintendent and we look forward to him joining the Patton family and assisting us with the transition to new leadership in the district. After serving as Principal for 8 years, and Assistant Superintendent for 3 years, I’m overjoyed to announce that effective July 1, 2022 I moved into a new role as Associate Superintendent, and will officially take the helm as the new Superintendent here at Patton effective January 1, 2023!  To say that I’m overjoyed is an understatement because I have worked tirelessly to ensure that our entire school community represented the best there is in public education.  We have a lot of work to do, but I’m excited to be slated as the next Superintendent to take on this challenging role.  I’m looking forward to working with all of you as we blaze this new path to excellence in education, and I’m looking forward to an AMAZING 2022-23 school year!
